start with a small service
This was the time when Hardware World was started. Hardware World in East Africa started as a small hardware shop in Kalerwe and has grown into the region's first hardware supermarket.

opening shop in Ntinda
While in a rentented premises, Ssekankya's business expanded with the support of key stakeholders like dfcu Bank, which financed the purchase, construction, and stocking of the main office in Ntinda.

2008
New Hardware World home.
Hardware World was able to move into a two-story store that sells a variety of items, including nails, cement, bathroom fittings, and electrical fittings.

New home for Hardware World Ltd
By this time we were a well known name within the industry. We had been prominent members of the industry for a couple years and recognised as a landmark in East African retail industry; we weren’t dismissed by anyone because we could not be dismissed by anyone.
